The kids are growing and changing each day. Krew is still enthralled by Thomas the Tank Engine and plays trains often. Keera is beginning to talk a lot more and she loves Thomas too. (Yes, she wants to be just like her big brother.) The kids also love to play outside. Anything outside if fun, but swimming is their favorite. Their Uncle Jim got them a really cool kids pool complete with a slide and basketball hoop. What fun! They also like to swim in our big pool. However, if one of us has both kids it's much easier to hang out and watch them swim in their kid pool.
Wheat harvest has come to an end. Before it was over, the kids got to go to Larned and visit their Aunt Renae and Uncle Jason. They helped with harvest. Krew drove the combine with Justin and Keera drove the semi with Uncle Jason. (So maybe they weren't really driving, but they will tell you differently if you ask!) They can't wait for harvest to come again so they can help!
Recently we took a trip back to Rossville for the 4th of July. It was great to see everyone. Krew and Keera had a lot of fun playing with all their cousins. We also ventured to Kansas City for the day to visit some friends. It was so nice to see everyone, and Krew and Keera had a lot of fun playing with all the kids. We do plan to get back soon because we didn't get to see Judy and Nolan and Krew and Keera didn't get to see Scott, Brandy, and Daisy.
Kerry and I got to spend a day and night away on our own. For my birthday Kerry took me to Weston for the day and then to a Royals game that afternoon. Before the game we got to go to the Stadium Club and Royals Stadium and listen to the past voices of the Wildcats speak. It was incredible to hear all their stories about K-State Basketball and Football. If they ever do anything like that again, I would definitely recommend going if you are a Cats fan. After the game we stayed at the Adam's Mark. Ahh, a night alone! Then the next morning it was off to the Toepfer Breakfast Cafe! Scott makes the best pancakes and eggs....we give it 5 stars!! After visiting withe the Toepfer's we were off to Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Alan's to have a birthday lunch. Jeannie's birthday is on the same day as mine. All the coolest people were born on July 9th! We had cake and homeade ice-cream for lunch. It was a wonderful celebration - especially if you consider that on the actual day of my birthday I had to go to a school board meeting for work! (For those of you trying to figure out how old I am. Yes, as Brandy would say, it is the year of the 30!)
I hope all of you are well. Enjoy the pictures!
Krew is hiding in the hammock!
Keera on the slide.
We are concentrating on our sand and water project. Don't tell mom and dad!
Sand is fun.
I told you sand is fun!
We are at Steph's trying to get all six kids to smile for a picture. Liz, Steph, ,and I were all trying to convince the kids to sit on the couch. Yeah, right. We were crazy to think they would all smile for a picture. They are way to busy playing! Krew is missing from this picture. Look at Austin though. It is obvious he loves his baby sister!
Elise is missing from this picture and Keera is not happy about having to sit still for even one moment!
Great picture of Stephanie, Austin, Ashlyn, and Gabriella.
Here are all six kids! The picture is taken from far away, but the mission is accomplished!
